YAQUIS SWEEP TUCSON

Cd. Obregón, Sonora, November 30, 2025 (TBT Press) – A five-run rally at the start of the game propelled the Yaquis of Ciudad Obregón to victory, despite Tucson's efforts to rally and ultimately fall behind 6-4.

This win keeps the series in the hands of the Yaquis, who continue their dominance over Tucson in the current 2025-2026 ARCO Mexican Pacific League season.

Dakota Chalmers had a forgettable outing, issuing five consecutive walks and throwing a wild pitch, which allowed Allen Córdova to score the first run for the Yaquis. Víctor Mendoza drove in the second run with a sacrifice fly. Alberto Leyva was called to the mound to save the situation, and after striking out Miguel Guzmán for the second out, he gave up a hit to Alfredo Hurtado that drove in two more runs for the Yaquis. The fifth run of the inning was scored by Matt McDermott on a single by Juan Carlos Gamboa.

In the bottom of the second inning, Matt McDermott drove in the sixth run for the Yaquis with a single, bringing in his teammate Sebastián Elizalde to make it 6-0.

Tucson responded in the top of the sixth inning, putting together a four-run rally. Ramón Mendoza started the rally with a single, although he was later put out on a fielder's choice on a ground ball by River Town. Samar Leyva and Agustín Ruíz followed with singles to load the bases, and José Carlos Ureña drew a walk to score the first run for Arizona. The team's spark plug, Gaige Howard, drove in two more runs with a single to left field, and Jesús Fabela brought home the fourth run with a sacrifice fly to left fielder Miguel Guzmán.

Dakota Chalmers suffered his third loss of the season, raising his ERA to a high 7.29 after allowing five runs in just one-third of an inning. The win went to Fernando Sánchez, and the save to Nick Gardewine, his first of the season.

Tomorrow is a mandatory off day in the league, and next Tuesday, Tucson will host the Aguilas de Mexicali at the Yaquis' home stadium.

YAQUIS APLICA LA ESCOBA A TUCSON

Cd. Obregón, Son., 30 de noviembre 2025 (Prensa TBT).-  Rally grande de 5 carreras en el inicio del encuentro, guió a Yaquis de Cd.Obregón a la victoria, a pesar de los esfuerzos del equipo de Tucson por regresar en la pizarra y quedarse abajo en el marcador, 6 carreras por 4.

De esta manera la serie completa se quedó en la antiguaCajeme, que continúa con su dominio sobre Tucson en lo que va de la presente campaña de la Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico 2025-2026.

Con salida para el olvido Dakota Chalmers otorgó 5 bases por bolas consecutivas, además de un wild pitch, lo que significó la primera anotación para Yaquis en las piernas de Allen Córdova. Víctor Mendoza produjo la segunda con elevado de sacrificio. Alberto Leyva fue llamado al montículo para salvar la situación y después de ponchar a Miguel Guzmán para el segundo out, recibe hit de Alfredo Hurtado que produce 2 más para la causa Yaqui, la quinta anotación del inning la realizó Matt McDermott con sencillo de Juan Carlos Gamboa.

En el cierre del segundo capítulo, Matt McDermott produjo con sencillo la sexta carrera para Yaquis, trayendo a su compañero Sebastián Elizalde con la anotación para el 6-0.

Tucson respondió hasta la apertura del sexto inning, que logró concretar rally de 4 carreras.Ramón Mendoza comenzó el ataque conectando hit sencillo auque despues fue puesto out con jugada de selección a batazo de River Town. Samar Leyva y Agustín Ruíz ligan sencillos para llenar las bases y José Carlos Ureña recibe pasaporte para que se anotara la primer carrera para el equipo de Arizona. La bujía del equipo, Gaige Howard, produjo 2 más con sencillo al jardin izquierdo y Jesús Fabela se trajo la cuarta carrera al plato al conectar elevado de sacrificio a los terrenos del jardinero izquierdo Miguel Guzmán.

Dakota Chalmers logró su tercer derrota en la campaña y puso su efectividad en un alto 7.29 al recibir a su cuenta 5 anotaciones en solo un tercio de trabajo. La victoria para Fernando Sánchez y el salvamento para Nick Gardewine, su primero de la temporada.

Mañana dia de descanso obligado en la liga, para que el próximo martes, Tucson reciba a Aguilas de Mexicali en la casa de los Yaquis.
