WITH AUTHORITY, TUCSON WINS AT THE BORDER
Mexicali, BC, October 28, 2025 (TBT Press) - Tucson takes the first game on the border 8 to 1 over the Águilas de Mexicali Knights and returns to the winning path.
The winning run came in the fourth inning for the Tucson team, who, with a double by Ramón Mendoza, sent teammates José Carlos Ureña and Bobby Bradley to the plate.
Mexicali closed the gap by scoring a run in the bottom of the sixth inning, with Yadir Drake scoring on a sacrifice fly by Estevan Florial.
The big threat emerged in the top of the eighth inning, with Tucson scoring four runs for themselves, giving the score a wide margin of 6-1 over Águilas de Mexicali.
José Carlos Ureña produced the first with a single to left, scoring Jesús Fabela. The second came on a Ramón Mendoza single to center field, scoring on the play by Gaige Howard and on a throwing error by catcher Juan López. José Carlos Ureña also scored for Tucson. Mendoza scored the fourth for the Southern Arizona team on a single by Missael Rivera.
In the final inning, Jesús "Chuyito" Fabela hit his first home run of the season, taking out teammate Samar Leyva, making the score 8-1 and putting the game on ice.
Erick Preciado came out for Tucson in the ninth to retire the final inning, and despite getting into trouble, he managed to fight back and get all three outs without allowing a run.
The victory went to starter Daniel de la Fuente, who pitched five complete innings with five strikeouts and three walks without allowing a run, leaving his ERA at a very low 1.74.
The loser was David Reyes who lasted 7 complete games allowing 2 runs with 3 strikeouts and 1 walk.
CON AUTORIDAD, TUCSON GANA EN LA FRONTERA
Mexicali, BC, 28 de octubre 2025 (Prensa TBT).- Tucson se lleva el primero en la frontera 8 carreras por 1 sobre los caballeros Águilas de Mexicali y vuelve a la senda de la victoria.
La carrera de la quiniela llegó en la cuarta tanda para el equipo de Tucson que, con doblete de Ramón Mendoza, mandó al plato a sus compañeros José Carlos Ureña y Bobby Bradley.
Mexicali se acercó en la pizarra al lograr anotar una carrera en el cierre del sexto episodio, anotando Yadir Drake en elevado de sacrificio de Estevan Florial.
La amenaza grande se hizo presente en la apertura del octavo inning, anotando Tucson 4 carreras para su causa lo que puso el marcador con un amplio margen de 6-1 sobre Águilas de Mexicali.
José Carlos Ureña produce la primera con sencillo al izquierdo, anotando Jesús Fabela, la segunda llegó con sencillo de Ramón Mendoza al jardín central, anotando en la jugada Gaige Howard y en error en el tiro del cátcher Juan López, José Carlos Ureña también anotó para Tucson. La cuarta del equipo del sur de Arizona la anotó Mendoza con sencillo de Missael Rivera.
En el último inning, Jesús “Chuyito” Fabela conectó su primer cuadrangular de la campaña llevándose por delante a su compañero Samar Leyva, poniendo los cartones 8-1 y llevando el partido a la congeladora.
Erick Preciado salió por Tucson en la novena para retirar la última entrada, y a pesar de que se metió en problemas, logra fajarse y sacar los 3 outs sin permitir carrera.
La victoria se la apuntó el abridor Daniel de la Fuente en 5 entradas completas con 5 ponches y 3 bases por bola sin permitir carrera, dejando su efectividad en un bajísimo 1.74.
El derrotado resultó David Reyes que aguantó 7 completas permitiendo 2 carreras con 3ponches y 1 base por bolas.
