WITH A CLOSE SCORE, CAÑEROS SECURE THE SERIES AGAINST TUCSON
Los Mochis, Sinaloa, November 1, 2025 (TBT Press) – The second game of the series in Los Mochis went to Cañeros, securing the series win after Tucson fell 5-4.
Cañeros took an early lead in the top of the first inning when Dayson Croes scored on a groundout by Eric Filia.
Tucson tied the game in the bottom of the second inning when River Town scored on a line drive to center field by Francisco Noel Pérez, grandson of the legendary “Paquín” Estrada, making the score 1-1.
In the top of the third, the visiting Cañeros put together a four-run rally. Eric Filia drove in two runs with a double, and Asael Sánchez followed with a home run, driving in Filia.
With the score 5-1 in the fifth inning, Tucson closed the gap, scoring three runs. Edgar Lugo scored on a throwing error by pitcher Darel Torres to make it 5-2. Gaige Howard singled, driving in Jesús Fabela to make it 5-3, and José Carlos Ureña hit his fourth double of the season, bringing Bobby Bradley home with the third run of the inning to make it 5-4.
Dakota Chalmers, in his Tucson debut, took the loss, pitching 2 1/3 innings, striking out one, walking three, and allowing all five of the Cañeros' runs. The win went to Vicente Valenzuela in relief, with Daniel Correa earning the save (4).

Los Mochis, Sin., 01 de noviembre 2025 (Prensa TBT).- El segundo juego de la serie desde la ciudad cañera, se cargó para el lado de Los Mochis, asegurando de esta manera la serie al caer Tucson por pizarra 5-4.
Cañeros comenzó ganando al anotar en la apertura del mismo primer inning anotando Dayson Croes con rodado de Eric Filia.
Tucson empató cartones con una anotación en el cierre del segundo rollo, ésta en los spikes de River Town que fue remolcado por el nieto de la leyenda “Paquín” Estrada, Francisco Noel Pérez, que conectó línea al jardín central, trayendo con ello igualdad al marcador 1-1.
En la apertura de la tercera, los visitantes Cañeros concretaron rally de 4, Eric Filia con doblete produce 2 y Asael Sánchez con homerun, se lleva por delante a Filia.
Con el marcador abierto 5-1 en la quinta tanda, Tucson se acercó peligrosamente pisando homeplate en 3 ocasiones, Edgar Lugo anota con error de tiro del lanzador Darel Torres para el 5-2, Gaige Howard con sencillo manda a Jesús Fabela al plato con el 5-3 y José Carlos Ureña conecta su cuarto doblete de la campaña mandando a home a Bobby Bradley con la tercer anotación del inning para el 5-4.
Dakota Chalmers en su debut con Tucson, cargó con la derrota lanzando por espacio de 2 y 1 tercio, 1 ponche, 3 bases por bolas y permitiendo las 5 anotaciones de Cañeros, por su parte la victoria fue para Vicente Valenzuela en labor de relevo con salvamento para Daniel Correa (4).
