TUCSON WIN SERIES WITH A COMEBACK 5-4 OVER TOMATEROS
Culiacán, Sinaloa, November 8, 2025 (TBT Press) – Tucson secured its first home series by defeating the Tomateros de Culiacán 5-4 tonight at Angel Flores Stadium in the Sinaloa capital.
Alexis Wilson drove in Tucson's first run of the game in the bottom of the second inning, scoring Samar Leyva on the catcher's RBI single.
Culiacán tied the game in the top of the third inning with an RBI double by JP Martínez.
The Sinaloa team took the lead in the top of the fourth inning with a three-run rally thanks to Orlando Martínez's second home run of the season, which brought Joey Meneses and Luis Juárez home, making the score 4-1 for Culiacán. Tucson didn't give up, and in the bottom of the fifth inning, they turned the game around with a four-run rally, taking a 5-4 lead for the home team, Tucson Baseball Team. The first run came courtesy of pitcher Manny Barreda, who allowed River Town to score. José Carlos Ureña then found a good pitch and hit his first home run of the season, bringing home teammates Gaige Howard and Jesús Fabela.
In the ninth, Garret Alexander dominated, retiring the Tomateros in three innings to earn the save. The win went to Eduardo Mares, who pitched two-thirds of an inning in relief. Manny Barreda took the loss.
TUCSON ASEGURA LA SERIE VINIENDO DE ATRÁS Y VENCE 5-4 A TOMATEROS
Culiacán, Sin. 08 de noviembre 2025 (Prensa TBT).- Tucson logró asegurar su primer serie como local al vencer esta noche a Tomateros de Culiacán por pizarra de 5-4 en el estadio Angel Flores de la capital sinaloense.
Alexis Wilson fue el encargado de producir la primera carrera del encuentro para Tucson en la parte baja de la segunda tanda, anotado Samar Leyva con el sencillo productor del receptor.
Culiacán empató cartones en la parte alta de la tercera entrada con doblete productor de JP Martínez.
Los sinaloenses tomaron la ventaja en la apertura del cuarto rollo con rally de 3 anotaciones gracias al segundo cuadrangular de la campaña de Orlando Martínez, que se encontró en las bases a Joey Meneses y Luis Juárez, poniendo la pizarra 4-1 para los culichis.
Tucson no se quedó con los brazos cruzados y en el cierre del quinto capítulo, le dio la vuelta al encuentro con jugoso rally de 4 que movió el marcador 5-4 para los locales administrativos, Tucson Baseball Team. La primera anotación llegó por cortesía del lanzador Manny Barreda permitiendo que River Town descolgara a homeplate con la anotación. José Carlos Ureña encontró pitcheo a modo y conectó su primer cuadrangular de la campaña llevándose por delante a sus compañeros Gaige Howard y Jesús Fabela.
En la novena, Garret Alexander salió dominante y retiró en 3 hombres a Tomateros para apuntarse el salvamento, su sexto de la campaña, la victoria para Eduardo Mares que trabajó de relevo por espacio de 2 tercios. Manny Barreda se llevó la derrota.
