TUCSON CONTINUES OVERWHELMING PRESEASON
Nogales, Sonora (Tucson Baseball Team Press) - On Wednesday night, the Tucson team defeated the Naranjeros de Hermosillo again, this time with an open score of 11 runs to 3 at "Kinkas" Valencia Stadium in the border city of Nogales, Sonora.
Although the Orange club started the game winning by scoring three times in the first inning off starting pitcher Eduardo Mares, these would be the only times they would reach home plate. Willie Romero's team tied the game at the end of the same inning by scoring three times off Sonoran pitcher Rubén Reyes.
A four-run rally in the bottom of the third inning put Tucson up 7 to 3.
Another four-run rally in the eighth inning made it 11-3, which would be the final score as Hermosillo was unable to muster a fruitful attack against Romero's team.
Pitcher André Sánchez earned the win.
Tucson will return to Phoenix this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in the Mexican Baseball Fiesta at American Family Fields, the spring training home of the Milwaukee Brewers to continue their preparation for the 2025-2026 season of the ARCO Mexican Pacific League.

La noche de este miércoles la escuadra de Tucson venció de nueva cuenta a Naranjeros de Hermosillo, esta vez con abierto marcador de 11 carreras por 3 en el estadio “Kinkas” Valencia de la fronteriza Nogales, Sonora.
A pesar de que el club naranja comenzó ganando el encuentro al anotar en 3 ocasiones en la primera entrada ante el pitcher inicialista Eduardo Mares, estas serían las únicas ocasiones en que llegarían a pisar el homeplate, la escuadra de Willie Romero empató el encuentro al cierre del mismo capítulo al marcar 3 veces ante el pitcher Rubén Reyes de los sonorenses.
Rally de cuatro carreras en el cierre del tercer episodio puso arriba a Tucson 7 carreras por 3.
Nuevo rally de 4 en el octavo inning puso la pizarra 11-3, lo que sería el marcador final ya que Hermosillo no pudo volver a armar un ataque fructífero ante los comandados por Romero.
La victoria se la apuntó André Sánchez.
Tucson volverá a ver actividad en Phoenix este viernes, sábado y domingo en la Mexican Baseball Fiesta en el American Family Fields, casa de los Cerveceros de Milwaukee en entrenamientos de primavera, para continuar con su preparación de cara a la temporada 2025-2026 de la Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico.
