TUCSON SPLITS DOUBLEHEADER WITH AGUILAS DE MEXICALI
Cd. Obregón, Son., December 3, 2025 (TBT Press).- The Tucson team split the doubleheader with Aguilas de Mexicali and returned to winning ways in the second half of the 2025-2026 ARCO Mexican Pacific League season.
The first game of the day went in favor of the Mexicali team, who took the victory 5-1. Mexicali scored first in the very first inning, scoring twice on a double by Estevan Floria, bringing home Cade Gotta and Alex Mejía.
In the third inning, Alex Mejía doubled, driving in Yadir Drake for a 3-0 lead, and in the top of the fourth inning, Moisés Gutiérrez stole home to make it 4-0.
Samar Leyva scored in the bottom of the fourth inning with an RBI single that sent River Town home to make it 4-1.
The final score of 5-1 was scored by Phillip Evans on an error by catcher Alberto Leyva. Austin Warner took the loss, while the win went to César Vargas.
In the second game of the doubleheader, Tucson rallied to win 5-4.
Mexicali started strong, scoring two runs in the first inning. This time, Wynton Bernard doubled, driving in Alex Mejía and Yadir Drake.
The lead extended in the second inning when Cade Gotta scored on a double by Alex Mejía.
Mexicali continued to add to their tally, scoring again in the top of the third inning on an RBI single by Norberto Obeso. Tucson closed the gap with two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, first on a single by Agustín Ruiz and then on a fielding error by Marco Jaime, River Town scored Tucson's second run.
With the score 4-2, a three-run rally in the bottom of the fifth inning turned the game around, putting Tucson ahead. Jesús Fabela scored on a sacrifice fly by Agustín Ruiz, and Misael Rivera followed with a double that drove in River Town and Marcos Valenzuela, giving Tucson the fourth and fifth runs, respectively. This gave Tucson the lead, which they would not relinquish, ultimately securing the victory. Veteran Tomás Solís took the loss, while the win went to the towering Garret Alexander, with Charlie Hasty earning the save.
TUCSON DIVIDE EN EL DOUBLE HEADER CON AGUILAS DE MEXICALI
Cd. Obregón, Son., 03 de diciembre 2025 (Prensa TBT).- El equipo de Tucson dividió honores con Aguilas de Mexicali y se volvió a la senda del triunfo en la segunda vuelta de la Campaña 2025-2026 de la liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico.
El primer encuentro del día resultó favorable para el equipo cachanilla, que se llevó la victoria 5 carreras por 1.
Mexicali anotó primero en la misma primera entrada, anotando en par de ocasiones con doblete de Estevan Floria, anotando Cade Gotta y Alex Mejía.
En la tercera tanda, Alex Mejía con doblete, manda a Yadir Drake al pentágono para el 3-0, y en la apertura del cuarto inning, Moisés Gutiérrez e roba el home para el 4-0.
Samar Leyva descontó en el cierre del mismo cuarto episodio con sencillo remolcador que mandó a River Town al pentágonopara el 4-1.
El 5-1 definitivo lo anotó Phillip Evans en erro del catcher Alberto Leyva.Austin Warner cargó con la derrota ientars que la victoria se le apuntó a la cuenta de César Vargas.
En el segundo de la doble jornada, Tucson se apuntó la victoria viniendo de atrás, al vencer con pizarra de 5-4.
Mexicali comenzó dominando el encuentro anotando 2 carreras en la misma primera entrada, esta vez fue Wynton Bernard que con doblete, mandó a sus compañeros Alex Mejía y Yadir Drake al pentágono.
La ventaja se amplió en el segundo rolloanotando Cade Gotta con doblete de Alex Mejía.
Mexicali siguió sumando y pisó el pentágono una vez más en la apertura del tercer episodio gracias a sencillo productor de Norberto Obeso.
Tucsón se acercó con 2 anotaciones en el cierre del inning número 4, primero con sencillo de Agustín Ruiz y después con error en el fildeo de Marco Jaime, River Town anota la segunda para Tucson.
Ya con la pizarra 4-2, rally de 3 en el cierre del quinto episodio, le dio la vuelta al encuentro poniendo arriba a Tucson, Jesús Fabela anota con elevado de sacrificio de Agustín Ruiz y Misael Rivera responde con doblete que sirvió para que sus compañeros River Town y Marcos Valenzuela pudieran descolgarse con las carreras 4 y 5 para el equipo de Tucson, y de esta manera ponerse arriba en el marcador y no perder la ventaja para quedarse con el encuentro.
El veterano Tomás Solís cargó con la derrota, mientras que la victoria se la apuntó el espigado Garret Alexander con salvamento para Charlie Hasty.
