TUCSON SECURES SERIES IN MEXICALI
Mexicali, BC, October 30, 2025 (TBT Press) – The Tucson Team secured a 7-6 victory over the Aguilas de Mexicali, continuing their climb in the ARCO Mexican Pacific League standings.
Edwin Valle earned the win in relief, while Garret Alexander recorded his third save of the season. Lozano took the loss.
Aguilas de Mexicali opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning with a run thanks to Cade Gotta's first home run of the season, putting the home team up 1-0.
Tucson took the lead in the top of the second inning with two runs. Bobby Bradley hit a four-bagger, and Alejandro Quezada's single drove in Samar Leyva with the second run for Willie Romero's team. Two more runs for Tucson in the top of the third inning extended the visitors' lead to 4-1. Agustín Ruíz hit a home run, driving in Samar Leyva.
Mexicali got one run back in the fourth on a single by Alejandro Flores, but Tucson responded quickly to start the fifth with three runs. With the bases loaded, Missael Rivera drew a walk, allowing Bobby Bradley to score. Alejandro Quezada was then hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, scoring Samar Leyva. Tucson's seventh run came on a fielder's choice when River Town hit a batter, scoring Marco Chicuate.
Mexicali narrowed the gap again, scoring one run in the bottom of the fifth on a single by Yadir Drake.
In the seventh, Mexicali added another run, making it 7-4, on a single by Irving López to left field, scoring Cuban Estevan Florial.
In the eighth inning, Charlie Hasty's pitching got into trouble, and after loading the bases, he gave up a sacrifice fly to Yadir Drake, allowing Ren Tachioka to score Mexicali's fifth run. Mexicali then added another run against Garret Alexander, making the score 7-6 in favor of the Tucson Baseball Team, who ultimately won the series on the border.
TUCSON ASEGURA LA SERIE EN MEXICALI
Mexicali, BC, 30 de octubre 2025 (Prensa TBT).- El equipo de Tucson se apuntó la victoria 7-6 sobre los emplumados y de esta manera sigue subiendo escalones en el standing de la liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico.
La victoria se la apuntó Edwin Valle en labor de relevo, mientras que Garret Alexander sumó su tercer salvamento de la temporada. Lozano se llevó la derrota.
Esta noche fueron los Aguilas de Mexicali los que abrieron la pizarra en el cierre del mismo primer capítulo con una anotación gracias al primer homerun de Cade Gotta en la campaña, poniendo a los locales arriba 1-0.
Tucson le dio la vuelta al encuentro al iniciar el segundo inning con 2 anotaciones, Bobby Bradley conecta batazo de 4 estaciones y Alejandro Quezada con sencillo, remolca a Samar Leyva con la segunda carrera de los pupilos de Willie Romero.
2 anotaciones más para Tucson en la apertura del tercer rollo ampliaron la ventaja para los visitantes 4-1, Agustín Ruíz con cuadrangular se lleva por delante a Samar Leyva.
Mexicali descuenta 1 en la cuarta con sencillo de Alejandro Flores, pero Tucson responde rápidamente al iniciar el quinto episodio con 3 grandes carreras cuando con la casa llena, Missael Rivera recibe pasaporte para que anotara Bobby Bradley de caballito. Alejandro Quezada es golpeado aun con las bases llenas y anota Samar Leyva. La séptima carrera de Tucson llegó en jugada de selección al batear River Town anotando Marco Chicuate en la jugada.
Mexicali volvió a acortar distancia anotando una en el cierre del quinto inning con sencillo de Yadir Drake.
En la séptima, una más para Mexicali que movió la pizarra 7-4 llegó con sencillo de Irving López al jardín izquierdo, anotando el cubano Estevan Florial.
Ya en la octava, el pitcheo de Charlie Hasty se metió en problemas y después de llenar las bases, recibió un elevado de sacrificio de Yadir Drake anotando el japonés Ren Tachioka la quinta carrera para Mexicali. Una más llegaría para la causa de Mexicali ahora ante los envíos de Garret Alexander, moviendo la pizarra 7-6 en favor aun para Tucson Baseball Team, que logró quedarse con la serie desde la frontera.
