TUCSON FIGHTS TO A FIGHT, GUASAVE TAKES THE VICTORY IN 11 INNINGS
Guasave, Sinaloa, November 26, 2025 (TBT Press) - Nine innings weren't enough in Guasave, and the game went to 11 innings, with the Sinaloa team emerging victorious in a match that could have gone either way.
The Guasave team took an early lead in the very first inning, with Leo Heras scoring his 40th career triple in the Mexican Pacific League (Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico). He then scored on a throwing error by the shortstop, tying the record set by the legendary Matias Carrillo, who is currently serving as the Tucson team's first base coach.
Willie Romero's team responded in the bottom of the fifth inning, taking the lead with a home run by Agustín Ruiz, his third of the season, which brought home teammate José Carlos Ureña, putting Tucson ahead 2-1 over Guasave.
In the top of the eighth inning, the game was tied. With two outs, Leo Heras singled and was replaced at first by Rafael Franco. Levi Jordan then came to bat and doubled, driving in Franco for the tying run.
The game went into extra innings, with Guasave scoring their third run on a sacrifice fly by Rafael Franco.
Tucson rallied in the bottom of the tenth, tying the game at 3 with a sacrifice fly by Ramón Mendoza. After an intentional walk to River Town to load the bases, Samar Leyva hit a fly ball to center field for the third out, sending the game into the eleventh inning.
In the top of the eleventh inning, Algodoneros scored on an RBI single by Esteban Quiroz, putting his team back in the lead at 4-3.
The winning pitcher was Norman Elenes, with Carlos Vazquez earning the save. The losing pitcher was Denny Román.
TUCSON CAE PELEANDO EN VICTORIA DE GUASAVE EN 11 ENTRADAS
Guasave, Sin., 26 de noviembre 2025 (Prensa TBT).- Nueve entradas no fueron suficientes en Guasave y el partido se decidió en 11 capítulos, resultado ganador el equipo sinaloense, en un resultado que pudo haberse inclinado para cualquier lado.
El equipo de Guasave comenzó poniendose arriba del encuentro en el mismo primer inning, anotando Leo Heras, quien conectó su triple número 40 de por vida en la Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico y anotando después en error de tiro del parador en corto de esta manera Heras empató el record que impuso el legendario Matias Carrilo, que en esta campaña funge como coach de primera del equipo de Tucson.
La novena de Willie Romero respondió en el cierre de la quinta tanda dandole vuelta al encuentro con homerun de Agustín Ruiz, su tercero de la campaña, que se llevó por delante a su compañero José Carlos Ureña, poniendo asi a Tucson arriba 2-1 sobre Guasave.
En la apertura de la octava tanda, el juego se emparejó, ya con 2 outs, Leo Heras conectó sencillo y fue sustituido en la primera por Rafael Franco, viniendo a batear Levi Jordan quien con doblete impulso a Franco al pentágono para la carrera del empate.
El encuentro se extendió a las entradas extra, anotando Guasave la tercera con elevado de sacrifico de Rafael Franco.
Tucson atacó en el cierre del décimo capítulo y empató a 3 con elevado de sacrifio de Ramón Mendoza y después de base intencional a River Town para llenar los senderos, Samar Leyva elevó al central para el tercer out y mandar el juego al onceavo inning.
En la apertura de la onceava tanda, Algodoneros anotó con remolacada de Esteban Quiroz que con sencillo puso de nueva cuenta arriba a su equipo 4-3.
El pitcher ganador Norman Elenes, con salvamento para Carlos Vazquez. El derrotado resultó Denny Román.
