TUCSON BASEBALL TEAM TIED THE SERIES IN MAZATLÁN.
Mazatlán, Sinaloa, November 12, 2025 (TBT Press) - Tonight, Tucson tied the series by defeating the Venados de Mazatlán 2-1 in the second game of the series in the Sinaloa port city.
Samar Leyva opened the scoring with a single to center field, allowing Jesús Fabela to score. Ramón Mendoza drove in the second run with an RBI single, scoring José Carlos Ureña for Tucson.
The score remained 2-0 until the bottom of the seventh inning, when Italo Mota singled to first base off Tucson reliever Jake Gozzo, driving in Leo Germán to bring Tucson within one run at 2-1.
In the ninth inning, the towering pitcher Garret Alexander took the mound and retired the Mazatlán batters in order, earning his seventh save of the season.
Zoé Carrillo (3-1) earned the win, pitching 5.3 innings with 5 strikeouts and no runs allowed, while Braulio Torres-Pérez (0-1) took the loss.

Mazatlán, Sin., 12 de noviembre 2025 (Prens TBT).- Esta noche Tucson emparejó cartones al vencer a Venados de Mazatlán con pizarra de 2-1 en el segundo encuentro de la serie en el puerto sinaloense.
Samar Leyva fue el encargado de abrir el marcador en el encuentro, al conectar sencilloal jardin central, bueno para que Jesús Fabela se descolgara al homeplate. Ramón Mendoza produjo la segunda con hit remolcador, anotando José Carlos Ureña la segunda carrera para el equipo de Tucson.
La pizarra se mantuvo 2-0 hasta el cierre del séptimo episodio, en el cual Italo Mota con sencillo por la primera base ante los envíos del relevista de Tucson, Jake Gozzo, manda a su compañero Leo Germán con la carrera que los acercó 2-1 en la pizarra.
En la novena, la figura del espigado lanzador Garret Alexander subió a la lomita para retirar en fila a los bateadores de Mazatlán, apuntándose de esta manera el juego salvado número 7 para su cuenta personal.
Zoé Carrillo (3-1) se llevó la victoria al trabajar 5 3ntradas de 5 ponches sin permitir carrera, Braulio Torres-Pérez (0-1) cargó con la derrota.
