TOMATEROS WIN FIRST GAME IN CULIACÁN
Culiacán, Sinaloa, December 12, 2020 (TBT Press).- With a score of 7-3 and two home runs by Jon Singleton, the Tomateros de Culiacán took the first game of the series in the Sinaloa capital.
Luis Verdugo opened the scoring with a solo home run in the bottom of the second inning off a pitch from Jasier Herrera.
In the third inning, Jon Singleton hit his first home run of the night to make it 2-0, and Ichiro Cano drove in Joey Meneses with a sacrifice fly to increase the lead to 3-0.
Tucson got one run back in the fourth inning with Jesús Fabela's third home run of the season, a shot to left field. In the bottom of the fourth, Josn Singleton hit his second home run of the night, driving in J.P. Martínez and Ramón Ríos to make it 6-1.
Tucson scored again in the top of the fifth, this time on a home run by Ramón Mendoza to left field.
Luis Juárez drove in the seventh run for the Culiacán team with a double in the bottom of the fifth.
Tucson's third run came on a double by Samar Leyva, who brought Gaige Howard home.
Jasier Herrera took the loss, allowing 3 runs and 7 hits without striking out a batter in 2 1/3 innings of work, while the win went to Aldo Montes, who pitched 6 complete innings, allowing 2 runs, striking out 7, and walking 2.
TOMATEROS GANA EL PRIMERO EN CULIACÁN.
Culiacán, Sinaloa, 12 de diciembre 20205 (Prensa TBT).- Con pizarra de 7-3 y par de homeruns de Jon Singleton, Tomateros de Culiacán se queda con el primer encuentro de la serie desde la capital Sianloense.
Luis Verdugo se encargó de abrir la pizarra al conectar solitario cuadrangular en el cierre del segundo inning ante los envíos de Jasier Herrera.
Para el tercer episodio, Jon Singleton conectó su primer bambinazo de la noche para el 2-0 e Ichiro Cano con elevado de sacrificio, mandó a Joey Meneses al plato para aumentar la ventaja 3-0.
Tucson descontó una en el cuarto rollo con el tercer cuadrangular de la campaña para Jesús Fabela por todo el jardín izquierdo.
En el cierre de la misma cuarta, Josn Singleton conectó su segundo cuadrangular de la noche, llevándose por delante a J.P. Martínez y Ramón Ríos moviendo el marcador 6-1.
Tucson volvió a anotar en la apertura del quinto episodio, esta vez con cuadrangular de Ramón Mendoza por el jardín izquierdo.
Luis Juárez con doblete produjo la séptima carrera para los culichis en el cierre del quinto inning.
La tercer anotación de Tucson llegó en el madero de Samar Leyva, quien con doblete, mandó a Gaige Howard al pentágono.
El debutante Jasier Herrera cargó con la derrota al permitr 3 carreras y recibir 7 hits sin ponchar a nadie en 2 entradas y un tercio de trabajo, mientras que la victoria fue al libro de Aldo Montes quien trabajó durante 6 entradas completas recibiendo 2 carreras, ponchando a 7 y regalando 2 bases.
