Victor Labrada homered with Drew Avans and Carlos Arellano on base.</p><p>Tucson regained the lead in the fifth inning, with Marco Chicuate scoring from third on a groundout by Alejandro Quezada.</p><p>The game was tied in the bottom of the same inning when Carlos Arellano drove in a run with a sacrifice fly, and Jose Lizarraga scored on a sacrifice fly from third to make it 5-5.</p><p>Two Tucson runs in the top of the sixth inning gave Arizona the lead again. This time, River Town tripled, driving in Edgar Lugo, and then Town himself scored on a double by Agust&#xED;n Ruiz, who had to leave the game with a leg injury, making the score 6-4.</p><p>In the top of the eighth inning, Tucson rallied again and extended their lead to 8-4 when River Town scored on a double by Jes&#xFA;s Fabela, and Fabela himself scored on a single by Missael Rivera to right field. Arizona added another run in the ninth inning when Marcos Valenzuela singled, and on a throwing error by shortstop Carlos Arellano, Alejandro Quezada scored Tucson&apos;s ninth run.</p><p>Oscar Soria came in in the ninth to record the final three outs of the game, retiring four batters for the 27th out. With the bases loaded, Oscar Soria walked Marco Jaime, and Alex Mej&#xED;a scored from third.</p><p>That single run was enough for Mexicali to salvage a point at home, but the series went to Tucson 2-1. The game turned early, as Jalisco capitalized on a first-inning opportunity by loading the bases with no outs. Juli&#xE1;n Ornelas then delivered a grand slam, giving the Charros an early advantage they would not relinquish.</p><p>Tucson answered in the fourth inning when Samar Leyva reached on a base hit, followed by a double from Missael Rivera. The lead increased with two more runs in the second inning. Following a throwing error and a wild pitch by the pitcher, along with a single by Bligh Madris, Jalisco rallied for five runs in the inning, taking a 15-2 lead. With Marco Chicuate and Samar Leyva on base, catcher Alexis Wilson hit his first triple of the season to clear the bases and tie the game at 2. A single by Muisael Rivera then drove in Wilson, giving Tucson a 3-2 lead.</p><p>In the bottom of the third inning, with the bases loaded thanks to three walks issued to Aaron Shortridge, Misael Rivera was hit by a pitch from new pitcher Ra&#xFA;l Castell&#xF3;n, allowing Agust&#xED;n Ru&#xED;z to score.</p><p>Venados tied the game in the seventh inning with a single by Fabricio Mac&#xED;as, scoring Carlos Tirado and Miguel Guzm&#xE1;n to make it 4-4.</p><p>Venados took the lead in the ninth against Charlie Hasty with a sacrifice fly to left field by Keven Lamas, scoring Andr&#xE9;s Alvarez on a sacrifice fly.</p><p>In the bottom of the ninth, Tucson threatened with two outs, but couldn&apos;t capitalize and fell 5-4 in a close contest.
