MEXICALI BATS AWAKEN AND PUNISH TUCSON
Mexicali, BC, November 19, 2025 (TBT Press) - The Mexicali team avenged their loss to Tucson and tied the series at the Nest, defeating the Tucson team 9-1.
Tucson's starting pitcher, Dakota Chalmers (0-2), took the loss, lasting only 2 innings on the mound, allowing 5 runs, striking out 2, and walking 2. The winning pitcher, Erick Casillas, came in as a reliever and pitched 3 innings, striking out 5 and not allowing a run.
The visitors opened the scoring with 2 runs in the first inning thanks to a double by Yadir Drake, who drove in one run, and another on a single by Alex Mejía, who also drove in Drake.
Three more runs in the top of the second inning extended the lead to 5-0 over the Tucson team. Alejandro Flores started the rally with a solo home run, Ren Tachioka drove in another with a double, and the third came on a sacrifice fly by Yadir Drake, scoring Esteban Florial.
Tucson closed the gap in the bottom of the fourth inning with a solo home run by Agustín Ruíz.
Mexicali pulled away in the fifth inning with a four-run rally that put them up 9-1. Alex Mejía drove in the first run with a single, scoring Yadir Drake, and the second run came on a single by Julián León, who brought in Alex Mejía and Phillip Evans. The ninth run came on a single by Esteban Florial.
LOS BATS CACHANILLAS DESPIERTAN Y CASTIGAN A TUCSON
Mexicali, BC, 19 de noviembre 2025 (Prensa TBT).- La novena cachanilla devolvió a Tucson la afrenta y empató la serie en al Nido, al vencer 9-1 el equipo de Tucson.
El pitcher abridor por Tucson, Dakota Chalmers(0-2) cargó con laderrota manteniedose solo 2 innigs sobre el montículo permitiendo 5 anotaciones, ponchando a 2 y regalando 2 bases. El ganador Erick Casillas entro de relevo lanzando por espacio de 3 entradas en las que ponchó a 5 sin permitir carrera.
La visita comenzó abriendo el marcador con 2 carreras en la misma primer entradagracias a doblete de Yadir Drake, que se trajo una al pentágono y otra más con sencillo de Alex Mejía que remolcó al mismo Yadir al plato.
3 carreras más en la alta de la segunda tanda, ampliaron la ventaja 5-0 sobre el equipo de Tucson. Alejandro Flores comenzó el ataque con homerun solitari, Ren Tachioka con doblete produjo una más y la tercera llegó por conducto de elevado de sacrificio de Yadir Drake, anotando Esteban Florial.
Tucson se acercó en el cierre del cuarto inning con el cuarangular solitario de Agustín Ruíz.
Mexicali se despegó en el quinto inning con jugoso rally de 4 que los puso arriba 9-1 en la pizarra. Alex Mejía con sencillo produce la primera, anotando Yadir Drake, la segunda carrera llegó del bat de Julián León que con sencillo remolca a Alex Mejia y Phillip Evans. La novena carrera apareció con sencillo de Estevan Florial.
