CHARROS TAKE THE LEAD IN THE FIRST GAME OF THE SERIES AGAINST TUCSON IN ZAPOPAN
Zapopan, Jalisco | November 12, 2025 (TBT Press) - In the opening game of the series at Pan American Stadium, the Tucson Baseball Team fell to the Charros de Jalisco by a score of 5-3, in a game marked by key innings and a decisive rally by the home team.
The pitching matchup featured Jorge Luis Sauceda from Obregón for Tucson, facing Nicaraguan Ronald Medrano.
Jalisco opened the scoring in the first inning when, after a single by Mateo Gil, the speedy Billy Hamilton crossed home plate to make it 1-0.
Tucson responded quickly in the top of the third: Marcos Valenzuela hit an RBI single to bring in Ramón Mendoza from second base and tie the game 1-1.
However, in the bottom of the same inning, the Charros put together a four-run rally, taking advantage of a couple of costly defensive errors for the Arizona team. Jalisco took a 5-1 lead, a difference that would define the course of the game.
In the fourth inning, José Carlos Ureña brought Tucson closer by hitting his third home run of the season, a solid blast that narrowed the gap. Later, in the top of the eighth, Jesús Fabela led off the offense with a single and was driven in by Gaige Howard to make the score 5-3.
Despite their efforts in the later innings, Tucson's offense couldn't get going again, and the score remained unchanged until the end.
The series continues tomorrow in Zapopan, where the Tucson Baseball Team will look to even the series and maintain their position at the end of the first half of the ARCO Mexican Pacific League.
CHARROS TOMA VENTAJA EN EL PRIMERO DE LA SERIE ANTE TUCSON EN ZAPOPAN
Zapopan, Jalisco | 12 de noviembre de 2025 (Prensa TBT).-En el inicio de la serie en el Estadio Panamericano, el Tucson Baseball Team cayó ante los Charros de Jalisco por pizarra de 5–3, en un encuentro marcado por episodios clave y un rally decisivo de la escuadra local.
El duelo monticular presentó al obregonense Jorge Luis Sauceda por Tucson, enfrentándose al nicaragüense Ronald Medrano.
Jalisco abrió el marcador en la primera entrada cuando, tras imparable de Mateo Gil, el veloz Billy Hamilton cruzó el plato para el 1–0.
Tucson respondió rápidamente en la tercera alta: Marcos Valenzuela conectó imparable productor para traer a Ramón Mendoza desde la intermedia y empatar el encuentro 1–1.
Sin embargo, en el cierre del mismo inning, los Charros armaron un rally de cuatro carreras, aprovechando un par de errores defensivos que resultaron costosos para la novena de Arizona. Jalisco tomó ventaja de 5–1, diferencia que marcaría el rumbo del juego.
En la cuarta entrada, José Carlos Ureña acercó a Tucson al disparar su tercer cuadrangular de la campaña, un sólido batazo que recortó la distancia. Más tarde, en la octava alta, Jesús Fabela abrió la ofensiva con sencillo y fue impulsado por Gaige Howard para colocar la pizarra 5–3.
A pesar del esfuerzo en las últimas entradas, la ofensiva de Tucson no logró volver a encenderse y el marcador se mantuvo intacto hasta el final.
La serie continúa mañana en Zapopan, donde el Tucson Baseball Team buscará igualar el compromiso y mantenerse firme en el cierre de la primera vuelta dentro de la Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico.
