A WEEK OF SETDOWNS AND REINVENTION FOR T-TOWN
Tucson, Arizona, December 1, 2025 (TBT Press) – The Tucson BaseballTeam closed out a difficult week in the ARCO Mexican Pacific League, finishing with a record of 1 win and 5 losses at the start of the second half of the season.
Midweek, the club faced the Algodoneros de Guasave at Kuroda Park as the designated home team, where they got off to a great start: a 4-0 victory, TBT's first win of the new half and their first shutout of the season.
Later, Tucson fell in the second game 10-4, a result that, in addition to sealing the defeat against Guasave, marked a change in manager: Willie Romero was dismissed and “El Coyote de Macapule” Matías Carrillo took over as interim manager for the remainder of the season, including the weekend series against the Yaquis of Ciudad Obregón at NEY Stadium, where the team failed to secure a victory against the overall standings leader.
On Saturday, in the continuation of the series against the Yaquis, Tucson fell again in an extra-inning game, a game in which TBT collected 11 hits and scored 6 runs, putting up a fight until the final inning, but ultimately succumbed to the defeat.
On an individual level, Raúl Zoe Carrillo remains the team's most effective starting pitcher, reaching 5 wins on the season with a 2.88 ERA, and also earning the only winning decision of the week. In the bullpen, Charlie Hasty had a standout week with: 4 relief appearances, 5.0 innings pitched, 3 hits allowed, 21 batters faced, and 0 runs allowed.
Offensively, José Carlos Ureña remained the organization's most productive hitter this week, reaching 20 RBIs so far this winter, tied for the team lead with Gaige Howard.
Collectively, Tucson was one of the best hitting teams this week with a collective batting average of .246, for a total of 52 hits, surpassing the Yaquis, Naranjeros, and Cañeros.
The team begins the month with a clear challenge: to get back on the winning track and accumulate points toward the January playoffs. The club's next commitment is to host the Mexicali Eagles in Ciudad Obregón, with games scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, including a doubleheader, with the goal of not falling further behind in the second half of the season.
TBT entered the second half with difficulties, but also with concrete competitive elements. Now, the immediate objective is to transform those positive metrics into victories that add points, game by game, series by series.

SEMANA DE TROPIEZOS Y REINVENCIÓN PARA EL T-TOWN
Tucson, Arizona, 1 de diciembre de 2025 (Prensa TBT) .- El Tucson Baseball Team cerró una semana difícil en la Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico, finalizando con récord de 1 victoria y 5 derrotas en la apertura de la segunda vuelta.
A media semana, el club enfrentó a Algodoneros de Guasave en el Kuroda Park como home team administrativo, donde inició de gran forma: triunfo por 4-0, primera victoria del TBT en la nueva vuelta y su primera blanqueada del calendario.
Posteriormente, Tucson cayó en el segundo duelo 10-4, resultado que, además de sellar la derrota ante Guasave, marcó el cambio de manager: Willie Romero fue cesado y “El Coyote de Macapule” Matías Carrillo asumió como manager interino durante el resto del periodo, incluyendo la serie del fin de semana ante Yaquis de Ciudad Obregón en el NEY, donde el equipo no logró cosechar victorias ante el líder general del standing.
El sábado, en la continuación ante la tribu cajemense, Tucson volvió a caer en un juego de entradas extras, un encuentro donde TBT conectó 11 hits y anotó 6 carreras, mostrando pelea hasta el último capítulo, pero sin evitar la derrota.
En el plano individual, Raúl Zoe Carrillo sigue siendo el abridor más efectivo del equipo, llegando a 5 victorias en la campaña con 2.88 de ERA, siendo también el pitcher que se quedó con la única decisión favorable de la semana.
En el bullpen, Charlie Hasty tuvo una semana destacada con: 4 apariciones como relevista, 5.0 entradas lanzadas, 3 hits permitidos, 21 bateadores enfrentados, 0 carreras permitidas.
Ofensivamente, José Carlos Ureña se mantuvo como el bat más productivo de la organización en la semana, llegando a la cifra de 20 carreras impulsadas en lo que va del invierno, líder productor del equipo, empatado con Gaige Howard esta fecha.
Colectivamente, Tucson fue esta semana uno de los equipos mas bateadores con un AVG colectivo de .246 milesimas, para un total de 52 imparables, superando a Yaquis, Naranjeros o Cañeros.
El equipo inicia el mes con el reto claro: recuperar la senda de victorias y sumar puntos rumbo a los playoffs de enero.
El siguiente compromiso del club será recibir administrativamente a Águilas de Mexicali en Ciudad Obregón, con juegos programados para miércoles y jueves, incluyendo doble cartelera, con el objetivo de no perder más terreno en la competencia de esta segunda mitad.
TBT entró a la vuelta con dificultades, pero también con elementos competitivos concretos. Ahora, el objetivo inmediato es transformar esas métricas positivas en victorias que sumen puntos, juego por juego, serie por serie.
